About Us
We are the inventors and manufactures of the Dako-faka a Bactrocera oleae (dacus) trap since 1989.
History:
The invention was created after observations of random insect behavior (for the science level at that time) on the field during wooden trap testing.
Τhe role of humidity in attracting the B.O was observed , and Dako-faka was the first trap using liquid attractive in large scale as well as having long life in field.
The knowledge used for the trap was a cumulative knowledge accumulated for 30 years by Thomas Fitsakis, agriculture engineer specialized in B.O and organic pesticide
The trap was patented in many countries, and the patents plans included the use of materials that was unavailable at that time.
The first trap was made of textile. It was reload able and could be used for many years if stored right, but the high initial costs and the sophisticated reload procedure lead to the new trap that was one use only made from reinforced paper and low cost.
The success was significant and the product was modified to field needs, as strong winds, heavy rain falls, and exposure to direct sunlight, etc.

C.E.O Evriklis Fitsakis : Has studied in Aristotelio agriculture university of Thessalonica and worked for a distributor of Copper beneficial insects in Greece, he has extended experience in field test and applications of non chemical farming techniques.
Aims:
The constant upgrade of products both in technical and commercial sectors and the development of new patents.
Beliefs:
The farming can and should be done ιn a “smarter “ way using less energy but more know how giving back nature a dominating role in growing healthy and juicefull plants.
